Organizational Development

I work with organizations to clarify direction and to define strategy, immediate steps, or both.

Building an organization so it achieves its mission is work that never ends. It can be a challenge to tether a vision to a realistic plan – and to do it in a way that helps staff and stakeholders build alignment.

Services include full strategic planning processes, retreats, and trainings. For smaller organizations with less capacity I also provide more targeted planning as well as curated and custom templates to ease operations.

Facilitation

I work with organizations to create facilitated experiences to build teams and reach clarity.

Boards, staff, volunteers – all benefit from conversations and experiences that make it easier to talk about what they value and the hard issues that they face. Facilitated conversations build teams and foster creative, collaborative thinking.

Services include short-term and longer-term facilitation engagements. I design meetings and workshops around the needs of your group.

Clear Communication

I crystalize and clarify how organizations present their work, and help them communicate to different audiences.

Doing the work and talking about it in a concise and compelling way are two different skills. I collaborate with clients to develop language that best presents an organization’s vision and work.

Services include proposal development; “translation” from technical to accessible language; and advocacy research, outreach, and writing.
